Our Projects
Building Climate Resilience, Livelihoods, and Opportunities
At RCCA, we believe that refugees are not just beneficiaries of aid—they are leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Through community-driven projects, we empower refugees and host communities to tackle climate change, restore the environment, strengthen livelihoods, and create opportunities for future generations. Our initiatives focus on practical, sustainable solutions that improve lives while protecting the planet.
Our Impact
communities, and the environment.

5,751+ Trees Planted
Since 2021, RCCA has planted and distributed more than 5,751 trees, helping restore degraded land, improve biodiversity, and provide shade and nutrition for households. In 2025 alone, 2,751 trees were planted with a 73% survival rate.

2,600 Youth Reached
Through climate awareness campaigns, environmental education, clean-up activities, and tree-planting programs, RCCA engaged over 2,600 young people in climate action.

2 km Bio-Fence Established
We constructed a 2-kilometre bio-fence around the irrigation scheme to protect crops from animal intrusion and strengthen food security for farming households.

81 Climate Champions Developed
RCCA has nurtured a growing network of children and youth actively leading environmental conservation and climate resilience initiatives within the settlement.
